March

The weather has finally started to warm up so we have been able to go out and do some things outside. We have been going geo-caching and having lots of fun finding what you call them "treasures." It takes us to new places and it's always fun to do something all together. Daddy bought a four wheeler this month and you think it is the best thing ever. You have gone on a couple of rides with him. One Saturday you guys went with Lydia and Matt riding out in the desert. You went to a couple of caves and had a great time! We also were able to make it to Clifton. You love going there and spending as much time with grandpa as you can. You rode with him in the tractor, took a couple of truck rides and even got to see a train, up close. You covered your ears and said it was "too loud!"

I love this last picture of you. We had some yummy chocolate pudding and got it all over you.

Yuck

This past Sunday we drove out to Malad Gorge to see if it would be a good place for our family gathering for Easter. While we were there we went down a different road looking for a geo-cache and found a neat area. On the way back to the truck you decided to go through this big bush of sagebrush. That night while dad was giving you a bath he thought he better wash your hair and check if you had any ticks. Well sure enough there was one in your hair! It had just barely started to burrow down. uuughggghgghhh! give me the willies just thinking about it!!!! I held you while Steve got it out. Anyway I think we will be staying away from the sage for a while and remembering to wear hats. After that everyone got a tick check, yuck!

Going to work

On Friday you grabbed my metal Yellowstone lunch box and started pushing around Taylor's walking toy and said "mom I'm going to work!" You went around the rug and then parked the toy and said "I'm home" It was the cutest thing ever! Made me laugh out loud:)

A Day out with Dad

On Saturday you and Dad took out our new four wheeler we got in the desert. Matt and Lydia also went with you guys. You rode out to a cave called tea kettle and spent most of the day out there. You love the four wheeler and was so excited to go that you would put on your helmet and wear it all around.

Geo-Caching

For the past couple of Sundays it has been really nice and we have gone out as a family to do a little geo-caching. It is so much fun and it is something that we can all do as a family and takes us to places we wouldn't usually go.You love finding the "treasures."

Party Hat Time!

Your birthday was quite different than your other birthdays because now actually understand what a birthday is and some of the details. We have been getting you all excited by teasing you that it was almost your birthday. You have read a couple of books and shows where there was a birthday party and one thing you really picked up on is "Party Hats." Anytime we would talk about your birthday and say how we were going to have cake, ice cream and presents you would always make sure that list included party hats.
On your birthday morning you woke up to balloons and some streamers put up. You also got one of your favorite breakfasts, crepes! That morning before dad went to work we let you open one present. You got a huge floor train puzzle. You have been loving puzzles lately, which I might add you can now do both of the 60 pc. tractor puzzles all by yourself, it's quite funny to watch you, you get in this thinking zone and just go. Anyway back to the birthday. Your friends came over in the afternoon for a little party. We got out the party hats and you were so excited to wear them for a short while and then the novelty wore off:) I made you a race track cake and you picked out the car candles. You have also been practicing your blowing out candle technique this past week. It was fun having friends over but at the same time you were a little possessive of your new toys and growled at anybody who tried to play with it. Later on that night after daddy got home you opened the rest of your presents. You got some more train tracks, clothes, and a pop up tent with a tunnel. You loved the tent and you and Taylor chased each other around and around. It was a fun day. I hope you had a great third birthday Lukie!

Tonight we got out various pots and you were discovering the different sounds they make. You are becoming so smart and have a brain like daddys. For Valentines I would put a worksheet in your mailbox and you loved getting them everyday and doing them. I'm going to try and keep on doing them everyday since you like them so much. I guess I better take advantage of this time while I can. You can now do both puzzles completely all by yourself. You usually do them once or twice a day. Grandpa and Grandma Williams got you some lincoln logs for your birthday. You really like them but they are a little frustrating for you at times. I have noticed that they are becoming easier for you and that you enjoy them more. Recently you have loved watching Blues Clues. I really don't mind it because it is educational and is better than just watching a cartoon. Your language is getting better and better. You can count to 10, know all your shapes and most common colors. You love to go to Nursery. It is so weird for me to think that you will be a sunbeam next year. You seriously cannot be that old yet! Heck, I might still be the music leader. I love it when you give me big hugs and one really cute thing you have been doing lately when daddy comes home for lunch is to make sure he gives you a kiss goodbye. You are really becoming daddy's sidekick and love when he is home. I remember when you used to be my little Koala bear and was a real momma's boy. You have come so far Lucas. It just seemed yesterday that I was having my first baby. I still vividly remember you in the NICU and your determination from day one. I never forget the first time I finally got to hold you, that was such a long awaited day. I am so grateful for memories and for pictures to help me remember. Love you
