Summer Recap

You did swimming lessons the first of June. It went better than I thought it would. You are starting to become more comfortable in the water, you are still not to sure about putting your head completely under though:)

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Palmers house for the fourth of July. You always like going to visit. You thought the fireworks were a little too loud but you liked the black snakes. You are into ropes lately and tie them to everything.

We got a trampoline this summer and it was a lot of fun for you guys. Your favorite thing to do was put a sprinkler on underneath it and jump jump jump! You especially like it when Dad or I come and jump with you.

Just a sweet picture of the cutest kids ever:)

For my birthday we went to Bear Lake. This is our second time going as a family and it is such a fun place to go. The water is warm and the beach is great. This year Staci's family went with us and that added to the fun. You just love those girls. We went on a hike, went to the caves and of course spent time at the beach. Grandma and Grandpa Palmer even came down for a day.

South Hills

A week before Thanksgiving we went to Fairfield and got our Christmas tree. There was a ton of snow. You loved the snow and didn't complain one bit!Our finished product! We had lots of fun decorating the tree and you even got to put the star on top.
You sure love that brother of yours:)

This Saturday we went to the South Hills to see the Christmas lights. This has become a tradition we have done now for a couple of years. Lucas liked looking at the lights but kept on wanting to race on to see the next thing. Taylor liked looking at everything and loved the animal lights. Cade was a trooper and didn't make a peep. It was pretty chilly but there was no snow and it wasn't raining like last year! Lucas even fed the camel a carrot. Taylor was intent just looking at it from a safe distance.:) We went with a big group of friends and the kids loved it. Afterwards we went to Golden Corral to eat. Lucas ate some noodles and then headed straight for the cotton candy with Taylor right behind him. It was fun to eat with friends. Lucas and Taylor had fun running around with Lydia and MaKatie.

Halloween

This year for Halloween you were Luke Skywalker. Dad introduced you to Star Wars and you have pretty much been obsessed since:) I think dad is enjoying it as much as you are. We dressed up a ton this year. We first kicked it off doing Storytime trick or treating. That weekend we went down to the Williams and went to a family Halloween party there. Monday you dressed up for preschool and then again that night for actual Halloween! You had a blast and I think we will do more door to door trick or treating next year now that you are getting older and you seemed to enjoy that the most. Although I told you and dad since Taylor and I did the whole Star Wars thing for you guys this year you were going to have to be princes next year. You did not think that was such a good idea.
You are loving preschool. It is at our house tomorrow and you are so excited to have everyone come here. You are really smart and learn things quickly. It is sad to think you are going to go to Kindergarten next year. I know you will love it but I will miss you. I still feel like I have control over the kind of people you are influenced by but I know once you start going to school that changes and it scares me a little bit.

We went down to the Palmer Grandparents before Halloween and had lots of fun carving this ginormous pumpkin. You always enjoy going there and visiting them.

Preschool

You started preschool this fall and love it. You go twice a week for three hours. I decided to do a mom co-op and it is going well. I taught last week and it was fun but I'm glad all the moms take turns. You are excelling really well. You know how to write your name and some other letters. You can recognize them all and know your numbers. I think you will be really prepared for Kindergarten next year. It is hard to believe that you are going to be five in four short months.
Your dad just had a birthday and got the Star Wars movies on blu-ray. We have just finished the third one. After watching the first one, you woke up the next morning and said, "that was AWESOME!" You now say you want to be a Jedi when you grow up.
You love being a big brother to Cade. You are really good about talking to him and he responds really good to you by smiling and usually stop crying when your around. You and Taylor on the other hand usually duke it out a couple times a day:)

Grandma and Grandpa Williams came down the last weekend of July to see Cade and then asked if they could take you back to their house. I was a little nervous but knew you would do just fine. You went with them on Sunday and we came up that Friday for Mckinley's baptism. You had a blast there and of course didn't want to go home:)

Just this past week we got a trampoline. It has been so much fun and a favorite thing to do is put the sprinkler under it.

Trying to take a picture of all three of you looking at the camera can be a little challenging but we got one:)

What a summer we have had! I decided to go down to grandma Palmers house the last week of July so we could spend some time with her. We ended up taking Allie, Abby, Rachel and Andrea a long with us and we had a fun but exhausting week trip! The first day we were crazy enough to take you guys to a couple clothing stores in Logan. It wasen't too bad but definitely not too fun either:) We then went to Willow Park and went to the zoo. The next day we walked the streets of Preston and went through there side walk sales before the parade. You ended up getting a loud gun and was so funny to watch you sneak around all the corners and act like a spy. We then watched the parade and had pizza after wards. On the final day we went to Downata swimming pool and had lots of fun there. After swimming we went home and I think we were all exhausted from going all week. WE had lots of fun at grandma and grandpas house and love to be there.

At the park, posing for a funny picture;)

Playing at the splash park at Downata.

I needed to update your pictures so I took you out and got some cute ones

Big Brother Again!

Well Lucas, you and I were right when we voiced our opinions on the gender of the baby because I had a baby boy! I had Cade Palmer Williams the 8th of July. On Thursday the 7th we went to Oakley Reservoir for the Palmer reunion. Well dad and I went and dropped the trailer off and you and Taylor with the family then we turned right back around and went to the hospital. You had such a fun weekend with the family. You were pretty excited to see Cade and hold him. You are more curious this time around. I think you are going to love having a brother.

Who's dad is a wimp?

This weekend we went down to Idaho Falls so Steve and I could go through the temple with Kolton who is getting ready to go on a mission to the Phillipines. We had a fun weekend jam packed with lots of things to do. We went to the zoo and played with cousins. Whenever we go up there I don't see you most of the time because you are so busy playing with cousins. You liked the zoo and the map of the zoo. You are fascinated with maps right now.
Today at church you were a little nervous to go to your primary class so dad went with you. During singing time they we singing "Nephi's Courage." The leader asked everyone so "who's dad is a wimp?" You finally feeling confident raise your hand high in the air and say "Mine is!!!" All the adults and dad started laughing and that brought on the tears because you were embarrassed. After hearing the story I felt bad that you were sad but thought it was a pretty funny, looks like we need to discuss the definition of a wimp;)

Easter and Tay's B-day

This whole month for FHE we have been focusing on the Resurrection and trying to help you understand the real meaning of Easter. You have done really well and understand the basics that Jesus died, he was put in a cave( easy way for you to understand) and came back to life after 3 days. I hope you continue to grow in the gospel and learn the really important reasons of special holidays.
This past week has been incredibly busy! We celebrated Tay's birthday last Thursday and you were a really good sport. That Friday we went camping at Salmon Falls with Grandpa and Grandma Palmer and Ryan and his family. Recently dad got you your own real hiking backpack so you could get used to packing your own bag when we go places and having a good pack that you could hike with. It was fun to see you excited to have your own bag and be so excited to pack your own things. We got at the camping spot around late morning Friday. We did quite a bit of fishing and you did a lot of exploring. One thing you did many times was "go on a hike up the mountain." Sometimes you would go by yourself and other times Cache would come with you. That makes me excited to see that interest in you! Later that evening Dad came up. He got a new smaller tent and wanted to try it out you decided to sleep in there with him and did great! It was a lot of fun to get outdoors away from the house for a while and be with family. You love being with family and having places to explore. When we got home Saturday Grandma Williams stopped by with kelly on their way home from Boise. She brought Tay some presents and also brought you one which was a thomas the train book. You were so excited to get a present and love the new book.
This Sunday we had Stake Conference and then we loaded up and went to Jeremy's house in Oakley for the family Easter party. We had a big egg hunt and you were so excited for it. When we were hiding the eggs, every time I would look over towards the house I would see your little head either peaking behind the door or out the window. You knew what to do this year and filled your bucket full.
A fun thing that you do right now is play the present game. You take a dish towel and go and find something, usually something you really like;), and give it to me or dad as a present. Then it is our turn to go find something and wrap it to give to you. I think all this talk of presents and having Taylor's birthday inspired this latest game:). Love you!

First Talk in Primary

You gave your first talk in Primary today on "How Jesus Christ is the perfect example for me." You took a nap during sacrament meeting so I was a little nervous you wouldn't be too happy to give your talk but you got right up there, talked in the microphone and did really well! It's crazy to think you are really old enough to be doing this. Real proud of you buddy!

Mar. 2011

After staying with Staci's girls for a week I think you learned some new things:) The other day I told you, you couldn't do something and you said "Fine!!! You're not my best friend anymore!" It was so funny because I have never heard you talk about best friends before. Later on we talked how you can have more than one best friend at a time and you liked that idea.

Last night 3/21 you were downstairs with daddy in the pantry and was standing on an empty bucket. You fell and head planted on the ground. You cried downstairs for a while and dad was trying to comfort you. You came up a couple minutes later and had a huge goose egg on your eyebrow. I was not expecting it and when I looked at it I actually got really dizzy! Geesh I know how lame is that! I tried to get you to ice it but you thought of course it was going to hurt you more so you would not have that. Today your eye is pretty swollen but not too bad, we will see if it darkens up after a couple of days:)

Feb. 2011

This weekend we moved your train set downstairs. Daddy went down with you to help ease you into the transition. You have done well so far and have even gone down by yourself a couple of times.(02-03-11)

It is hard to believe you are four! We celebrated your birthday the weekend after we got back from our trip to Hawaii. We felt pretty bad for not being there on the actual day of your birthday. Staci and her family had a big party for you though and it sounds like you loved it. You were always saying how you wanted two birthdays this year and you did have two. You wanted at Polar Express cake but still liked the tunnel train cake I made. We also had magic candles so everyone got to blow some out. Some of Staci's girls stayed over the night before and were there to celebrate along with Grandpa and Grandma Williams and some more nieces from Idaho Falls. You got some new track and a new train with a remote. You later also got a Thomas shirt from grandma Palmer that you love and want to wear every chance you get.It was a fun filled day and you had lots of fun playing with your cousins.
